For two decades, I have advised clients regarding transactions involving companies and other businesses. I act as a representative for boards, directors and shareholders and call upon colleagues with other specialist skills where necessary. A large part of my practice is concerned with technology companies, international trade contracts, investments in businesses, including private equity and placement, and the buying or selling of shares and assets including sale and purchase of businesses. Other areas of expertise include advice on constitutional and structural matters such as shareholder agreements, share options and partnership agreements.

Businesses have evolved to a new spectrum over the years. Company law has evolved in a way that it has increased in complexity to meet new regulations. My role is to help my clients to understand the law, how it is implemented in a business perspective in a comprehensible and clear manner and help them to formulate the business in a way that minimizes risks. Furthermore, I actively pursue the transactional side in advising, negotiating the legal structures, contracts, treaties and managing the project with the aid of other professionals including external professionals when required.

Anyone who has been through a business sale or purchase will understand the extensive work and pressure are involved in dealing with due diligence, making important decisions and proceeding with the business. We aim to make that process as stress-free as possible and, in any event, prepare our clients for what to expect. We also try and make the transactional experience as easy as possible, conducting ourselves in a modern and constructive fashion.
